You will be using a mobile device of some sort to check a location, so it's possible that your device may reach storage capacity.
When that occurs, an error message will be displayed when you are trying to enter check details because your device simply cannot store any additional information.
You will be unable to proceed further with your check until you resolve the problem on your device.
Here are some ways to free up storage space on a device: |
- Delete images and files that are no longer needed from the device
Perhaps you have saved images from previous checks you have completed that can now be deleted, or maybe you have music, videos, or other files that are taking up a lot of space on the device
- Look for in-progress checks on your device, and save, delete, or submit them to free up storage space
Maybe you forgot to submit a check or have abandoned a check that you started in error
- If you are working online, turn on the auto image upload feature on the checklist, so that the photos you take during a check are immediately sent to our servers
NOTE: The auto image upload feature is only available if you are working online
- If you are working online, save your check data frequently so your progress is saved on our servers
When you are working in offline mode your data is saved locally, on your device, until you connect to the Internet again
- Uninstall apps that are no longer needed on the device
We've all done it... installed an app we thought we needed and haven't looked at it since
- Clear your browser cache on the device
After a time, your device's browser cache can accumulate and use up your storage space
- Lower the resolution of the photos that your device takes
Often, the default resolution for photos is set very high, and the higher the resolution the more storage space each photo will use
There are many online resources that can provide additional ways and instructions on how to free up storage space on mobile devices.
