While completing a check, you may encounter a circumstance that needs to be flagged for followup.
For example, a burnt-out light bulb needs to be replaced, or a tear in the carpet that could be a trip hazard for customers.
Followups are action plans used to identify deficiencies or issues that need to be addressed at a location. Using followups, you can:
- Automatically notify the right people when issues are found so they can start actioning immediately.
- Easily collaborate on issues and resolve followups using a real-time communication portal.
- See all open issues, and easily prioritize them based on the scope and impact on your business.
Questions on the checklist may be set up so that a followup is automatically created for all items that do not meet the expected standard.
Or, a checker can manually mark a question as requiring one or more followups if, in their judgment, there is some issue that warrants followup... regardless of whether the expected standard was met or not.
To manually mark a question as requiring followup, click on the followup flag for that question.
- Enter a Name for the followup (by default the question label will be used)
- There is an optional field to add a Description to explain the reason for the followup
- If applicable, select the Assignee for the followup - I.e. the person who will be responsible for resolving the issue
- You also have the option to set a Priority and Due Date for the followup
Click on Save.
After you've added a followup you can:
- Edit the details by clicking on the name
- Delete the followup by clicking on the trash bin
- Click on the followup flag again to add another followup (you can add as many followups to a question as needed)
When you submit the audit, the followup(s) you added will be created.
