IntouchCheck includes Bluetooth thermometer integration within Temperature questions. This functionality enables temperature readings taken with the ThermoWorks® Thermapen® ONE Blue to be transmitted directly into a checklist.
This removes the need to manually enter temperature values while completing a check, ensuring higher data integrity and faster completion times.
How the Integration Works
When a Thermapen® ONE Blue is connected to a user’s device:
Direct Transmission: Temperature readings are transmitted directly into the app question in real-time.
Unit Syncing: The captured value matches the unit of measurement (Fahrenheit or Celsius) currently set on the thermometer. The thermometer’s hardware setting will override the checklist’s default unit setting to ensure the record exactly matches the device display.
Source Verification: The recorded value displays a "Bluetooth" indicator (e.g., 74.5°F Bluetooth) to distinguish it from manual entries in your completed Check records.
Audit Metadata: Every Bluetooth reading automatically captures the thermometer’s unique serial number in the back-end response metadata.
What to Expect
The "Connect" Button: Once the Bluetooth temperature question is enabled for your organization, a "Connect" button will automatically appear under all Temperature-type questions.
No System Pairing: You do not need to "pair" the thermometer in your phone or tablet’s system Bluetooth settings. The connection is handled entirely within the IntouchCheck app.
Automatic Population: Temperature values are automatically populated from the thermometer once a reading is accepted by the user.
Tamper-Proof Records: Once a Bluetooth reading is captured, the unit of measure is locked to match the device to ensure data integrity.
Manual Fallback: Users can still enter temperatures manually if the hardware is unavailable; these will be flagged as "Manual" collection in reports.
How to Enable this Feature
