With the Temperature question type, checkers can:
- Answer the question by manually entering the temperature or by capturing real-time readings directly from a ThermoWorks® Thermapen® ONE Blue.
- Upload one or more photos and/or add a comment.
- Manually flag the question for followup, when necessary.
The following features/fields are available when setting up a Temperature question:
| Question Label: | Enter the Question Label... in other words, your question text. | |
| Scored: | Toggle the Scored setting to set the Score Value if the question is scored; by default, it will be unscored/set to 0. | |
| Default Temperature Unit: |
Choose a Default Temperature Unit from the dropdown menu (Celsius or Fahrenheit). The selected unit will automatically appear as the default when users answer the question while performing a check. This helps speed up checklist completion by guiding users to enter temperatures in the most commonly used unit. Users completing the check can still change the unit (°C or °F) if needed at the time of entry. |
|
| Compliant Temperature Range: |
If there is an expectation that the temperature falls within a specific range, you can enter that range by specifying the low and high values for the range for both units. When set, responses that fall within the range will receive a question outcome of 'ok', and responses that are outside of the range will receive a question outcome of 'not-ok'. This setting is required if the question is scored, and any responses that are outside of the acceptable range would result in a 0 score. |
|
| Decimal Places: | Enter the number of decimal places that should be included with responses. | |
| Allow "Not Applicable" and "Cannot Check" Responses: | Click this toggle to enable not applicable and cannot check if the question is not always applicable for a location or checker. |
| Allow "Not Applicable" and "Cannot Check" Responses | When enabled, a response to the question will be required. When the option to allow "Not Applicable" and "Cannot Check" responses has been enabled, selecting one of these options will count as a response. | |
| Critical Issue: | Should the location automatically fail the check if they do not meet the expectations for this particular question? If yes, then toggle on the Critical Issue checkbox. Optionally, you may also automatically generate a followup if the question is non-compliant. | |
| Show acceptable range: | If you click the Show acceptable range it will display the range set. | |
| Hide From Reporting: | If you do not want the question to be visible in IQ to all users, click the Hide From Reporting checkbox. Only users with permission to view hidden fields will be able to view the question. | |
| Followup Due Date: | If a checker, reviewer, or approver indicates there is followup required, should there be a set due date for the issue to be resolved? If yes, then indicate the number of days in the Set time frame for followup required field. | |
| Require Additional Information: | If you click the Require Additional Information checkbox, you will be able to specify the Type (photo and/or comment) of information that is required, as well as When that information is required. | |
| Tags: | When tags have been applied to a question on a checklist, the question will contribute to the Tag Score for each tag applied. You can choose to view the questions on the individual record reports in “Order by Tag”, rather than the default “Order by Section”. Select the Tags you would like to apply to this question. | |
| Additional Instructions: | If you have any Additional Instructions the checker should be aware of when making the observation, provide the explanation here. Expand 'Additional Instructions' and click 'Add Instructions' to open the text editor. The checker can click to see the additional information by tapping the additional information icon ( |
|
| Example Photo: | Add an Example Photo to provide the checker with a visual representation they can refer to while completing the check. Expand 'Example Photo' and click 'Upload Photo' to select a photo from your device. The checker can click to see the additional information by tapping the additional information icon ( |
