The following features/fields are available when setting up a Calculation question:
Question Label: |
Enter the Question Label... in other words, your question text.
Scored: |
Toggle the Scored setting on to set the Score Value if the question is scored; by default, it will be unscored/set to 0.
Decimal Places: |
If required, indicate the number of Decimal Places allowed in the answer. For example, 42.75 would be 2 decimal places.
Allow a range from/to: |
If there is an expectation that the number falls within a specific range, you can enter that in the Allow a range from low to high field. This setting is required if the question is scored, and anything outside of the acceptable range would result in a 0 score.
Calculation: |
Click on Add Field to select a numeric question to include in your calculation. Click on Add Constant to add an unchanging value to your calculation. Specify the operator (+, -, /, *) to use between the two values. Keep in mind, the standard order of operations does apply, so be sure to take that into consideration when building your calculation. |
